Show and Tell Finished

I learned a good lesson with this project. I decided not to go with a three-dimensional focal point and instead add images of dogs to the canvases. Because of this the great texture on the canvases meant wrinkles which showed under the images. So, next time I either need to use a three-dimensional focal point so the texture doesn't show through or make sure the texture won't be underneath my image. I like the final canvases other than that. It wasn't so scary after all :)

Here they are. Let me know what you think.

Oh, Kaci, they are gorgeous! The wrinkles on the dogs add to the character of the pieces! I mean, the dogs are wrinkled too, right, IRL? HEL-lo. Don't beat yourself up over those wrinkles, they are too cool, in fact, when I look at the previous post and see the wrinkles without the images, I'm thinking, uh-oh, the images are gonna covers those up....

I LOVE these. Really. If you really don't want the wrinkles, then use the watercolor paper and gel medium that. You'll get brush stroke movement instead....BOTH are very pretty in their different effects!

If ya don't mind, I'm going to showcase this technique on my blog tonight when I do my entry. Then, this weekend when I have time, I'm going to try it and post mine. I just love it!

Kacy, these are beautiful! I thought you added the wrinkles on purpose to add dimension. Fantastic work and I love your animals!
