Happy Birthday Mom
Today is my mother's birthday. Not only is she my mom but she is also my best friend. It has almost been a year since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am so thankful that they found the cancer very early (Stage I) and she is doing great after a lumpectomy and radiation.
I made my first fabric ATCs in honor of mom and all the other women who are breast cancer survivors. It is also in honor of those have not survived.

Beautiful atc and congrats on your mom's birthday! I have yet to sew one but it is way up on my list of things to do....
That is AWESOME! Happy Birthday to your Mom from this little RI warren. One of the co-founders of the RI Knitters Meetup.com group is also a Survivor. Each time I see her and folks like your Mom, I am inspired to more with my life.
